Bridge  is really only a "grown-up's version of "500," and if you fancy yourself at 500, then you will
really enjoy "BRIDGE" even more.  How would you like to do a few basic lessons on "The Game"

New players are always welcomed at the club, and we have very capable teachers, willing to run

 Bridge Notes  ….by Agnes Pini

On Thursday November 20th 2008, a five Howell movement, directed by Agnes Pini, was played at the Proserpine Whitsunday Bridge Club. Alison Holmes and Agnes Pini won with a score of 61.11%. They were followed by Mary Weir and Jill Spencer with 58.33%. Beverly Gage and Helen Altman were third with 55.55%. Helen, unfortunately, is leaving to return to Tasmania.

 On Monday 20th November, the AGM was held. The executive for 2009 are: Jill Spencer, President; Chris Johnston, Secretary and Harry Milne, Treasurer. The Providore for 2009 is Beverly Gage and Masterpoint’s Secretary is Jill Spencer. Committee members are Peter Worthington, Di Crossley, Delma Scott Agnes Pini and Vic Carroll. A motion was passed to move the Monday evening game forward to 7:00pm in 2009

  The members then played a six table Mitchell Movement, directed by Bev Gage, for the Qld Wide Pairs.
Winners North/South were Mary Smith and John Sander with a score of 60.66%. David and Mary Orr were second with 60% and Harry Milne and David Cooper were third with 49%. 
Sitting East/West, Harry and Gail Walsh were the winners with 61.66%. In second place were Vic Carroll and Jill Spencer with 55.66%.   Di Crossley and Christine Johnston were third with 52%.
